ICA-TH 2026 recognises outstanding research contributions from presenters
across all career stages and submission categories.
Two awards will be presented at the closing ceremony on 7 June 2026, recognising excellence in research presentation and scholarly communication.
Presented to the individual or panel that demonstrates the highest quality of research design, argument, methodological rigour, and scholarly communication in an oral presentation format.
Presented to the presenter whose poster demonstrates the strongest research contribution, visual communication, and engagement with the conference theme and tracks.
Award winners are recognised at the closing ceremony and receive ongoing benefits beyond the conference itself.
A signed certificate of award recognition issued by the ICA-TH 2026 organising committee and co-hosting institutions.
Winners are featured prominently on the official ICA-TH 2026 conference website with their name, institution, and paper title.
Award winners are invited to submit their full paper to the Asian Journal for Public Opinion Research (AJPOR) for expedited editorial consideration.
Awards are evaluated by an independent panel of senior scholars using transparent criteria aligned with ICA standards.
Awards are assessed by an independent panel of two or more senior communication scholars with no conflict of interest with nominees.
Presentations are assessed on research quality, methodological rigour, relevance to the conference theme, clarity of argument, and scholarly contribution to the field.
All panel members declare conflicts of interest prior to evaluation. Panellists recuse themselves from judging presentations where a conflict exists.
Winners are announced during the closing ceremony on 7 June 2026. All presenters are considered eligible unless otherwise specified.
Two or more senior communication scholars, drawn from ICA member institutions across the region, evaluate all eligible presentations independently.
Both awards will be presented live at the closing session of ICA-TH 2026, bringing together all in-person and virtual delegates to celebrate outstanding research.
All accepted presenters at ICA-TH 2026 are automatically eligible for both awards.
